Parish Giving Scheme Project Update

Parish Giving Scheme logoOn Tuesday 12 August 2025, the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) Trustees voted to proceed with the launch of their new digital platform.

The updated platform will bring a range of improvements to the PGS experience, including dynamic reporting, which will allow you to generate tailored reports, two-factor authentication, and integration with GoCardless, allowing for further enhancements to security and provide even greater fraud protection.

What does this mean?

This is an incredibly exciting step forward that will further enhance the security of the PGS website and improve the overall service you receive.

How will this affect you?

To implement these improvements, the PGS website will be temporarily offline from Thursday 11 September until Wednesday 1 October 2025.

To ensure uninterrupted access to your reports, we recommend downloading any reports you require before Thursday 11 September. Once the new platform is live, you’ll benefit from dynamic reporting, which will allow you to access giving data more easily.

To avoid any delay, registration forms to register new parishes must be received by the PGS team no later than Monday 8 September.

How will this affect parishes and givers?

As the website will be offline, parishes and givers will not be able to access the PGS system to view statements or make changes to their giving. During the planned migration, PGS is also limited in its ability to enact any changes to giving or register new gifts as they move from the old system to the new system. The last day PGS can register or amend gifts is 4pm on Thursday 11th September. During the planned downtime, givers, can cancel their giving directly with their bank. The PGS team will be available via phone and email during this time to help.

Support to help you navigate the new platform

The Parish Giving Scheme team will host a webinar on Wednesday 27 August 2025 to walk you through the updates and demonstrate how to use the new features, including dynamic reporting.
