Bishop Neil was greeted warmly by a vibrant worshipping community of all ages. Lydia’s dynamic leadership in the parishes was affirmed by churchwardens, representatives of the local Chinese Church, Upper Stratton Parish Council and Penhill Forum.

Lydia grew up in Japan and continues to work as a teacher of Japanese and Chinese. She looks forward to continuing to work with the people of Upper Stratton and Penhill. She hopes that many people in both parishes will continue to step out into ministry, and that both churches will be a blessing to their local communities.

Lydia said:

“Thank you to the people of Penhill and Upper Stratton for making me so welcome and being keen to welcome me and work together with the churches. I look forward to continuing this collaboration as St Peter's and St Philip's seek to serve local people, bringing hope and joy.”

Please join us in praying for Lydia as she continues her ministry in Penhill and Upper Stratton.
