The Diocese of Bristol is pleased to announce that Father Simon Clark has been licensed as Interim Priest in Charge of All Hallows Easton, Holy Nativity Knowle and Christ Church with St Ewen, Bristol.

Fr Simon was licensed by the Rt Revd Vivienne Faull, Bishop of Bristol, in a joyful service held at All Hallows Church, Easton, on 18th June 2025. The Rt Revd Paul Thomas, Bishop of Oswestry, preached and presided at the Eucharist.
Fr Simon Clark is excited to begin his priestly ministry in Bristol. He is no stranger to the South West, having grown up in Devon where his family still resides. At the age of 18, he began working for the Missions to Seafarers, serving in the ports of Liverpool and Kobe, Japan. Upon returning to the UK, he worked in the Box Office at the Theatre Royal Centre before spending nearly six years with Apple Mac in Nottingham and the Midlands.
Simon felt a calling to ordained ministry from the age of 12 and was selected for training at 23. He trained at Westcott House Theological College, Cambridge, and was ordained Deacon in 1998 and Priest in 1999 in the Diocese of Chelmsford. His early ministry included curacies in Braintree, Essex, and Enfield. For the past 17 years, he served as Vicar of St Mark’s Noel Park in Wood Green, North London, and more recently as Assistant Director of Ordinands for the Bishop of Fulham.
A devoted member of the Society of the Holy Cross (SSC) since 1999, Simon currently serves as its Provincial Secretary and Registrar General. He is also a keen pilgrim and a Priest Associate of the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham.
Simon said:
“I am a ‘people priest’ at heart and am looking forward to meeting and getting to know the people of the parishes. I am thrilled to be moving back westwards and am excited to see what God has called us to accomplish as his disciples in three diverse yet traditionally rooted parishes. It will be a new chapter for us all and I hope to be worthy of this.”
