Bishop Neil has released a statement following the terrorist attack at Bondi Beach. His statement is as follows:
I am shocked and saddened by the terrorist attack on Jewish people gathered to light the first candles of Chanukah at Bondi Beach yesterday. My thoughts and prayers are with Jewish communities in Australia, in our Diocese and throughout the world.
Tragically, this attack has taken place amid a rise in antisemitism in the United Kingdom and across the globe. We must reject hatred against Jews and stand in love and support with our Jewish brothers and sisters.
Let us pray that people of all faiths and none can live in peace with each other.
