Diocese team fly out to Uganda to build global links

First published 19th October 2022

A team of 14 colleagues from across the Diocese flew out from London Heathrow on 14 October to visit our friends in different Diocese in the north of Uganda.

This is the first visit since the covid-19 pandemic struck and the team are all overwhelmed to be there, and it was a particularly poignant visit as Reverend Chris Dobson was created a Canon of All Saints Cathedral in Kitgum earlier this week.

Chris works tirelessly to maintain our global links and was recognised in gratitude of his hard work. Four other Canons were also installed at the same time, three lay ministers and one ordained at a special ceremony.

Reverend Chris Dobson said, “The team have been overwhelmed by the vibrant colours and sounds all around. The warmth and welcome has been wonderful. The thrill of feeling part of a global Christian community has filled our hearts with joy and its only day five.“

Please see just some of the fantastic photographs from the visit so far!
