A happy reunion for me personally with Bishop Paul and Maama Margaret Kizito when they arrived at Chippenham Deanery. Philip Townsend, Rev Tony Fensome and myself visited Mukono in 2006.

The next twelve days, rushed by as many of us prepared meals, suppers and hospitality for the events of the Deanery. We welcomed the Anglican Youth Choir of Uganda in a brilliant Roadshow organised by Chris Dobson at a well attended Supper at Biddestone. We saw their joy in singing of the love of a gentle and loving God, always with smiles on their faces and heard testimony of how in testing times God is always with us.

An inspirational retreat at Warminster led by Rev Stuart Wilson and accompanied by Rev. Chris Dobson on their experiences of living in Uganda reinforced our commitment to the link. We enjoyed a brilliant service of celebration at Bristol Cathedral and heard the choir again. At Downend Parish Church, a final Concert from the choir was exhilarating.

The feeling was, Our link of friendship and shared faith is alive and well, we face together, with prayer, many more years of sisterhood and brotherhood in Christ Jesus' love, able to sustain us in the present testing times of the Anglican Communion.
