Overview
We are looking for a highly organised and friendly Operations & Bookings Assistant to join our small and friendly team. Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will play an essential role in ensuring the smooth running of our church operations, with particular responsibility for coordinating and administering hall bookings.
This is a people-focused role that involves frequent interaction with both church members and the wider community.
You must be able to work in person in the office at Redland 22.5 hours per week. Ideally this will be across 5 days but we are willing to be flexible with the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Bookings & Administration
- Act as the main point of contact and manage the administration of regular bookings and one-off events
- Build positive, professional relationships with hirers
- Handle invoicing for all bookings
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date keyholder register
Support for Church Operations
- Assist with practical arrangements for church services, working with the Vicar, Wardens and staff team
- Support the administration of weddings, baptisms and funerals
- Help organise and oversee building maintenance contractors
- Provide general administrative support including welcoming visitors, answering phones and taking messages
- Support other church staff with administrative tasks as required

Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience working in a church administration setting
- Understanding of how a church operates
- Familiarity with ChurchSuite or similar systems
