Day one: Meet Tony Njoroge

Tony NjorogeTony is currently training to become a Licensed Lay Minister (LLM) in Swindon, and his story is one of deep faith, practical service, and joyful hope.

"For me, lay ministry is first and foremost about serving Christ in the everyday life of the Church and community. My calling has been shaped by a deep desire to walk alongside others in faith, to share the hope of the gospel, and to encourage people to discover and use their own God-given gifts."

Tony’s journey into lay ministry is rooted in a desire to bridge the gap between church and everyday life. He sees his future role as one that stands alongside clergy, offering support and leadership in ways that are relational, prayerful, and grounded in the realities of people’s lives.

"It is a joy to see how God works through ordinary people to bring about extraordinary transformation in lives and communities."

As we begin our Advent journey, Tony’s story reminds us that ministry is not confined to pulpits or formal settings. It flourishes in homes, workplaces, and conversations. His commitment to training and serving is a gift to the Church and to the wider community.
