Lisa’s life changed dramatically when she responded to God’s call and became a Licensed Lay Minister (LLM). One of the biggest changes came when she decided to honour God with her whole self - a decision that led her to join the gym.
“No one warns you how much you can grow spiritually in that environment. I started to realise that the gym isn’t just about your body. God really gets to work on your mindset too.”
For Lisa, exercise became more than physical fitness. It became a space where God strengthened more than muscles, rebuilding confidence, courage, and conviction.
“My body is a temple, and I’ve been learning how to honour Him with it. After a while, you start encouraging others, and I realised that this can be ministry too.”
Lisa’s story reminds us that ministry can happen anywhere - even on the gym floor - when we choose to live out our faith in every part of life.
Your support helps people like Lisa step into their calling.
Every donation to the Diocese of Bristol helps open the door to training, formation, and ongoing support for LLMs across our region.
