Paul serves as a Licensed Lay Minister, bringing ministry into everyday spaces and unexpected moments.
“When I started to think about lay ministry, I assumed it was mainly about leading or preaching at Sunday services. How wrong could I have been! I soon realised that the key word in Licensed Lay Ministry is ‘ministry’—serving others wherever they are”
During training and since being licensed, Paul has discovered ministry in many forms: creating an outdoor prayer space in a primary school, joining craft activities at Messy Church, sharing bacon sandwiches with dads on a Saturday morning, offering communion in a nursing home, and even toasting marshmallows around a fire pit with local families - alongside Sunday services, of course!
“This journey of discovery has opened my eyes to how God can use every part of my life, not just the Sunday part”
