Priest in Charge, St Anne’s Eastville with Mission Area Lead, East Bristol Mission Area
This is a full-time stipendiary post (Priest in Charge 0.5, Mission Area Lead 0.5)
The Acting Bishop of Bristol is seeking to appoint a new Priest in Charge of the parish of St Anne’s Eastville in Bristol, who will also be the lead minister for the new East Bristol Mission Area.
This is an exciting opportunity to serve a lively inclusive parish church, as well as enable the creation and flourishing of a new mission area with three other churches in the inner-city area of Easton. As Mission Area lead you will be working with enthusiastic, supportive and diverse church communities with a focus on outreach to the local community.
We are looking for someone who will:
- Be inclusive, welcoming and affirming to everyone in our community, in all its diversity, within and without the church walls.
- Enjoy working collaboratively with a committed team of volunteers, as we seek to express Christ’s presence in the local community
- Value the Eucharistic tradition of the parish church, and help people to grow in their faith and discipleship in innovative ways.
- Have a pioneering spirit to grow opportunities for mission, particularly with families, young people and schools.
We offer you:
- A four bedroomed detached vicarage with a large garden
- A willing, committed and gifted team of volunteers
- Support of colleagues from the other mission area churches
- Support of a coach, as part of our Transforming Church. Together strategy, with a focus of clergy wellbeing.
