Parish Administrator Vacancy - St Mary's Shirehampton
A vacancy has arisen for a Parish Administrator based within St Mary’s Church, who will work, together with the Priest in charge and Churchwardens, to ensure the smooth running of the Parish Office, including the administration for funerals, weddings and baptisms, and to facilitate bookings for the Tithe Barn.
Good administration and keyboard skills, with a sound knowledge of Word and Excel are required. A working knowledge of Power Point and Publisher would also be desirable but not essential.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to assist in the work and life of the Parish church are essential. Ideally the successful candidate will have some knowledge or experience of church life, and in working with the general public.
The successful applicant will provide general administrative support to church staff and will work closely with volunteers and hirers of the church and Tithe Barn.
Salary:£9.00-£10.00 per hour subject to experience (£9,360-£10,400 per annum)
Hours:20 per week over 4 or 5 days – to be agreed.
Holidays:5.6 weeks per year plus bank and public holidays(all pro rata to number of days worked)
