Project Manager (Part-time)
Trinity Care Service (TCS) has been present in the community of Hotwells for over 30 years and is based at Holy Trinity, Hotwells. Following changes in funding from Bristol City Council the service was reduced from a 4 day per week day centre to its current 1 day per week format in 2013. In 2017 a monthly memory café was added to the service.
Our aim has remained the same, to continue to provide a service for the over 60's especially for the frail, vulnerable and lonely in our community including those living with memory loss and their carers.
Our ambition is to build on the existing and well-run service whilst transforming it into one which ensures a sustainable future with greater access to diverse and varied activities to older people in the Cliftonwood, Hotwells and Harbourside area of Bristol.
WHAT SUPPORT DO WE NEED?
We are looking for a part time project manager for 6 months to work with our existing team to:
Review the existing service
Develop a business plan that enables us to develop a robust and sustainable service responding to the changing needs of local people and local demand
Extend (if appropriate) our services
It would include working with staff to review job roles, hours required for the roles and the management structure, as well as identifying training and development needs. It will also provide an opportunity to identify what the service requires in the way of staffing and funding longer term to manage the changes required to ensure a sustainable and responsive service. This will include if appropriate assisting with managing the changes identified for current staff.
To help us with this we are looking for somebody with significant experience of the non residential social care sector, HR, and strategic planning.
WHAT RESOURCES DO WE HAVE?
We have been given a grant which will fund approximately 25 - 30 days consultancy with administrative support over 6 months. As the lunch club takes place on Thursdays it is expected that the majority of the time worked by a consultant will include this day.
