St Matthews Church, Children’s, Families & Youth Minister
St Matthew's Church
Children’s, Families & Youth Minister (£20-£25k depending on experience)
We are urgently seeking a dynamic and engaging Children’s Families and Youth Minister to join the parish community of St Matthew’s Church, Bristol. You will be supported by our existing volunteer children’s and youth leaders. You would have a passion for the Church’s mission of ‘Living for Jesus’ and are likely to have significant experience in developing and delivering young persons’ Christian teaching/faith development.
St Matthew’s is a single church parish in Kingsdown; a diverse, busy area of central Bristol (ER 158, ASA 180). We are broadly evangelical, made up of varied traditions and churchmanship, embracing mixed worship styles. St Matthew’s is sociable, welcoming church family and regards Children and Youth as one of the three key focuses for its vision (the other two being discipleship and community).
You would be supported by a number of volunteer children’s and youth leaders. We have an existing programme of work for our children, families and youth and are looking to sustain and grow this work; this post therefore provides an opportunity for the post-holder to help shape and grow the work of the church. You will report to the vicar (although the parish is currently in a period of vacancy and will be seeking to recruit a vicar in the new year).
