The Parish Giving Scheme will be available for all churches across the Diocese to join from September. This is a useful tool to encourage people to give in a planned, tax efficient and consistent way to their church. Over a thousand churches nationwide are already signed up to the scheme, which is free of charge for parishes, and over £16 million was given to churches by parishioners using the scheme last year. Their experience has shown that when churches adopt the scheme alongside a giving review or stewardship campaign, they see an average increase in giving of 20% amongst those who start giving via the Parish Giving Scheme.

Therefore, as well as answering all your questions about how the scheme works, the three launch events in September will introduce you to a range of stewardship programmes and give you a chance to plan how you might use these in your parish alongside the Parish Giving Scheme. This is a great opportunity to focus on encouraging generosity within your church. We are really excited to be able to offer it across the Diocese and join this national network of church giving.

Register today to come along to one of the launch events in Swindon, Chippenham or Bristol and hear from Eleanor Stead (CEO of the Parish Giving Scheme) and John Preston (National Stewardship Officer for the Church of England), and pick up all the hot-off-the-press resources to support stewardship in your context.
