Rev Lisa WIGMORE, ordained a priest to be Assistant Curate in the Benefice and Parish of Holy Trinity, Horfield.
God called me to Himself just over 8 years ago, whilst our son Tom was being baptised, and I gave my life to Him freely and with absolute joy! It wasn’t quite the same during my initial “call” to ordained ministry, which has actually felt more like an uphill yank rather than a “call”, and which met with much resistance from me in the early stages. But our God is a faithful, forgiving and persistent God, and here I am. I have come to realise more and more that being a Priest is where I will be more fully myself, the person He intends me to be and for His praise and glory!
This Last year, with my new family at Horfield, has been a challenge to my theology and ecclesiology, but it has also been a privilege and a delight! I am blessed to be loved by such wonderful and fantastic people, whom I love dearly in return – thank you God!
