Work with children and young people in parishes





Dan Jones
Dan Jones has been the Youth & Children’s Adviser for the Diocese since March 2006 and brings with him 10 years experience of working with toddlers to teenagers. Dan provides an extensive range of services for those who work or have a passion for working with children, young people and young adults in a variety of 'informal' settings, including volunteer and paid workers, clergy and readers:

- Supporting, encouraging and resourcing work with children and young people
- Providing advice & guidance to parishes & the wider Church in the field of youth and children’s work
- Providing and developing training opportunities for youth and children’s leaders
- Supporting & encouraging full/part time Youth, children’s and family workers
- Networking and liaising with local authorities and youth and children’s agencies working in the Diocese

Reaching those who engage in youth and children’s work is paramount to the work of the Youth and Children’s Adviser. ‘NewsLink’, a free quarterly newsletter produced by Dan provides youth and children’s leaders with relevant articles, stories, ideas, new resources and training opportunities in and around the diocese.
