Fresh Expressions

Fresh expressions and church planting

The Diocesan Growth Programme encourages growth through “fresh expressions” of church and church planting. There are various kinds of church plants and “fresh expressions” (new church communities established primarily for the benefit of people who are not yet members of any church - see www.freshexpressions.org.uk) and you can find out more about the kinds of church plants from our Church Planting Policy.

Examples of Fresh Expressions

Emmanuel at Redmaids
Emmanuel is a church for people who don’t go to church. Emmanuel is the Diocese’s first Bishop’s Mission Order and meets at Red Maids School, Westbury-on-Trym, on Sunday afternoons.
