Our partners
Growing in Partnership is one of the key components of the
Growth
Programme.
The Growth Programme leaves it to each church and community that makes
up the Diocese to seek out its own partners – locally and
globally, within and beyond the Church – in line with their
context and tradition. However, as a Diocese in the Church
of England, we also have the following official partners.
The Church of England is a member church of Churches Together in England. In the Diocese of Bristol, we partner with other member churches and local independent churches.
The Church of England is a Province of the Anglican Communion and therefore in communion with all the other Provinces. The Diocese of Bristol has a particular link with the Province of Uganda.
There are various training institutions and theological colleges that serve the Church of England. The Diocese of Bristol partners with Trinity College, Bristol on their Context Based Training.
The Church of England’s partners involved in world mission are brought together by PWM (Partnership for World Mission).
Other charities that are part of the broader work of the Church of England include The Children’s Society, The National Society for Promoting Religious Education and the Church Urban Fund.
