HM the Queens 90th Birthday Celebrations

First published 13th May 2016

To celebrate HM the Queens 90th birthday every parish church and Church school are being encouraged to organise some sort of celebration or event to mark the occasion.

The logo competition that was launched earlier this year in celebration of Her Majesty the Queens 90th birthday had over 1,000 entries.

The winning logo is shown here and we would encourage schools to use the logo to promote their events and  to also join with their parish church in their plans.

Any schools who have organised events or are celebrating jointly with their parish church, we would encourage them to share their event on the celebration map.

In order to help schools some resources have been produced.  These include ideas for various ways to celebrate festivals, exhibitions, arts and crafts, and there is also a celebration assembly that can be used in primary schools.

Resources can be found on the Church of England website - https://churchofengland.org/education/latest-education-news.aspx

Recently released liturgical resources and prayers commissioned for the event can also be found on the Church Care Website.
